    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required to begin 200-level core CSD courses. To declare the CSD major, completion of core 200-level courses, B or higher in ENG 105 and 106, and overall (cumulative) 3.2 GPA or higher is required. See the University catalog for additional requirements.
    • Requirements for Illinois State Board of Education licensure include a master’s degree in speech-language pathology and additional coursework including EDU 223 Education of PK-12 Learners with Exceptionalities. Refer to ISBE for current requirements: ISBE PEL-School-Support-Ed-Lic
    • The Elmhurst University CSD major requires a physical science course (e.g., CHM 100, PHY 101), biological science course (e.g., BIO 100, BIO 104), statistics course (e.g., MTH 345, PSY 355), and a social/behavioral science course (e.g., PSY 200) based on requirements of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for national certification: See ASHA Course Content Areas for SLP Standards for acceptable foundational coursework.
    • Transfer students must complete at least half of the course credits required for this major at Elmhurst University.
