An English Major: Literature Emphasis consists of a minimum of 11 courses or 11 total credits (44 semester hours) chosen from the 300 and 400-levels, including ENG 220 and ENG 201, according to the distribution indicated below.

Note: Only one 100 or 200-level literature or writing course, in addition to ENG 220, may be counted toward the major. At least four 400-level courses in addition to ENG 451 must be chosen.

Grade of C or higher required for all major courses.
