    • Students who wish to pursue a career in speech-language pathology whose completed bachelor’s degree is in a field other than CSD require a series of prerequisite courses to prepare for application to the graduate program in speech-language pathology. This graduate preparation program is designed to meet expectations for core prerequisite knowledge of the Elmhurst University master’s program in CSD. Students must apply separately for admission to the master’s program. Requirements of other programs may vary.
    • Admissions Requirement: For admission to the graduate preparation program, a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or above must be present at the time of application. Post-baccalaureate GPA must be at least 3.2 to enroll in 300/400 level courses.

    • Illinois State Board of Education requires a Professional Educator’s License in speech-language pathology to work in the schools. Refer to ISBE for current requirements: https://www.isbe.net/Pages/PEL-School-Support-Ed-Lic.aspx and discuss with your advisor.
